The Renaissance building that was the palace of the Empress Eugenia de Montijo, Napoleon III’s wife, now houses a 40 room Boutique Hotel. A palace reconstructed under the attentive and scrupulous work of architects, archaeologists, and restoration specialists allows you to behold Roman drainage systems, 14th century Arabic walls, 16th century walls, and coffered ceilings from the 14th and 16th centuries where crests from the most important families of Toledo of that time appear.
The air-conditioned building has 40 rooms, one of which is a presidential suite, two are junior suites, one of which is handicap accessible. The rooms have a double or extra large bed, direct telephone, satellite and cable TV, free WIFI connection, wall to wall carpeting, and adjustable air and heat.
The history, luxury, relaxation found at the Spa, and the exquisite gastronomy by the famous restaurateur Adolfo Muñoz, join together in this establishment that is as unique as the city of three cultures in which it is found.
