The traveler and food lover will be able to enjoy the dishes prepared with grandmother’s recipes: Morteruelo (hot meat paté), Pisto Manchego (Manchegan ratatouille), Ajo Arriero (traditional garlic dish), Gazpacho manchego (game meat stew), Atascaburras (cod and potato purée), Gachas de pastor (savory porridge), Migas ruleras (fried breadcrumbs), Moje (Manchegan ratatouille), Cabrito (young goat), and an ample variety of game dishes that will delight even the most discerning palates.

What can we say about the indescribable cheeses in oil or the exquisite desserts, many of which are decidedly of Arabic heritage: Alajú (almond based cake), Torrijas (like French toast), Flores de sartén  o las de La Mancha (flower-shaped pastries), Tortas (cakes), Suspiros o Pellizcos de monja (Nun’s sighs or pinches - small fritters/sugared dough balls).
