MAIN ATTRACTIONS
Cañada del Hoyo is, without a doubt, the perfect wetlands due to its forested surroundings, landscapes of karst erosion, and the large number of birds that inhabit there and choose it as a breeding ground. All of this near Almagro.
WHAT WE’LL SEE
The lagoon, formed by an ancient volcanic explosion, surrounded by sierra de Arzollar, in which junipers and oaks can be found to enjoy the routes through nature. At the same time, golden eagles will fly over our heads, and on the banks, we will see the marsh harrier nesting in summer.
ACCESS
From Aldea del Rey: after this village, continue 9.8 km. by CM-4111, turning left by a path. At the first crossroads, take left, and continue straight. Then, take the third turnoff, which will leave you down sierra de Arzollar, and near the lagoon.
From Ciudad Real, N-430 or A-41: take CM-4111 from the CM-45, counting two kilometers from the roundabout. Continue for 2 km., to find a path that you will have to take. At the first crossroads, take the left one, and continue straight. Then, take the third turnoff, which will leave you down sierra de Arzollar, and near the lagoon.

The climate is ideal to visit throughout the year. Proper footwear and a camera are essential to obtain unforgettable memories.
