Located in the ancient City Hall, built in 1921. In 1992 the students from the first School workshop in Puertollano took back the modern style building, preserving the Catalonian stairs to access to the first floor. The expansion of the museum made in 2010 has allowed to built an attached building which embrace the original improving the space for exhibition rooms and cultural activities.
It offers seven topic sections dedicated to the main work of Cervantes, Don Quixote. A tour is made that allows getting into Don Quixote’s La Mancha, landscape, parties and enjoyment, food and exquisites, clothes and music and dancing costumes. It is a life exhibition because it recreates sight, touch, sound and smell. The exhibition ensemble reflects the cultural heritage of our region and it is another tourist attraction of the city of Puertollano. Exquisites and food to satisfy hunger. Clothes of that period. Music and dance in addition to contemporary art, anthropology, craftwork, ethnography, mining, paleontology and painting.
