THERMAL SPA
The so-called “king-mayor”, Charles III, founded this thermal spa in the 18th century, choosing it for the water’s properties and its proximity to the Madrid court. The beautiful building, surrounded by groves and gardens, houses a four-star hotel with vintage velvet decorations and marble bathrooms. A joy for one’s body and senses prolonging in their treatments, some as outstanding as the Roman baths.
TREATMENTS AND SPRINGS
Its source of mineral-medicinal waters is recommended for rheumatological, dermatological, and respiratory conditions and for physical and mental exhaustion.
Among their thermal treatments offered, highlights are the thermal bath, with water between 36ºC y 39ºC, pressure jets, active pool with jacuzzi circuit, circular shower, Roman bath, and muds. Additionally, they offer a variety of esthetic massage treatments: aromatherapy, oils, lymphatic drainage, relaxation, Vichy, foot reflexology, and stones; facial and body wraps with chocolate, wine, caviar and seaweed, hydrating peelings, and special hand and foot treatments.
OUR SUGGESTIONS
The spa is equipped to welcome children, those of whom are four years or older can enjoy the majority of the facilities. The surrounding areas allow for strolls around the Tagus River setting.
