In the heart of Alcaraz mountain range, land of savines, rosemary and thyme, we find Élez Estate, which houses this well-kept winery. Art is shaped and exhibited through very different ways, both stage or inside a glass of wine. Its owner, Manuel Manzaneque, was awarded with the Spanish National Theatre prize.
He owns 40 hectares of vineyard, with purely French varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay sapling were brought from Bordeaux and Burgundy; Syrah came from the Rhône. The microclimate and the specific vine behavior towards altitude, more than a thousand meters, favor the production of these peculiar wines. It has the Finca Élez Exclusive Designation of Origin.
ITS WINES:
Escena is considered their most special wine, alluding to the owner of the winery. Finca Élez Crianza varietal was awarded a silver medal at the Vinalies, Paris. Its Selección wine comes from the oldest vines. Some of their other brands are Syrah, Chardonnay, Chardonnay Especial and Joven.
SERVICES:
They offer several packages, from a visit to the winery and a tasting of their wines, to the possibility of spending a whole weekend there to visit the fantastic area that surrounds the winery, too.
