A Baroque triptych in the Plaza de la Merced

In the Plaza de la Merced square, a place where people meet that must be visited, the ensemble made up of the church and the Merced convent and the Seminario Mayor de San Julián seminary. The square therefore has three exceptionally beautiful adjacent façades.
The Esclavas de la Merced convent was erected on land belonging to the Gothic palace of the Hurtado de Mendoza family in the 16th century. The church is a little high due to the fact that it was erected on a crypt because of the land and its Baroque doorway looks down at the one on the convent which is more discreet.
It can only be visited on the outside.
