This town, bathed by the Escabas River and shaded by thick pine forests, belongs to the high-sierras of Cuenca and is a little more than 50 km from the capital. In addition to being an authentic jewel of landscape, in the town we can discover its church of Saint Martin, which serves as a letter of introduction.
WHAT WE’LL SEE
The most characteristic of this church is its beautiful coffered ceiling, whose beams are decorated in red and gold. It was constructed during the 15th century and has a slender tower with narrow trumpeted windows. As a curiosity, we will mention that the tower clock is located in one of the spaces intended for the bells.
