MAIN ATTRACTIONS
Almadenejos shows us its architecture which gains importance in its industrial activity. This small town owes its history importance to the cinnabar mining and it is this activity the start of the visit, which makes the tourist revolve around it.
WHAT WE’LL SEE
Almadenejos show us its history traces thorugh the elements which were the basis of its industrial activity. El Cerco de los Buitrones is a perimeter wall with seven doors which has six pairs of Bustamante furnaces which are preserved in spite of not having the pipes and the store.
Another treasure of the Almadenejos mining is the Baritel of San Carlos, a building from the 19th century, crowned with a conical dome of tiles and with sixteen segments. Inside the building we found the wheel and axle of the San Carlos well, which was moved by horses to extract the mineral.
