The museum is embraced by a special building. It has a reinforced concrete structure, a circular hollow which allows a dramatic entry and light and a vigorous and linear stairs with a big presence.
It is a monographic work sample of the artist Antonio López Torres, the famous painter Antonio López Garcías’ uncle. López Torres was born and died in Tomelloso. He was a silent paint brush far away from the boasting media, the exhibitions and any vanguard and practiced the Realism with some touches of naïf style. There are more than 100 paintings and drawings where the light, especially at noon, embrace its favorite duality, the nature and the human being. From his maturity stage we can highlight “El Pastor”, “Muchachos cogiendo hierba” and “Niños en un ratrojo”. Other paintings are: “Autorretrato de 1921”, “Los dos borricos” and “Comiendo sandía”.
