The Juan de Juane’s Virgin of Belén, a Renaissance painter, and four panel paintings attributed to Alonso Berruguete.

WHAT WE’LL SEE

We can also see a Gothic carving, the Crucified Christ, a sculpture of the Virgen del Rosario and the baptismal pile from the 12th century. The exhibition is completed by four archaeological sections, with pieces dated of the Paleolithic to the Visigoth period, and mineralogy with fossils brought from the surroundings of Atienza and other places of the province.

ACCESS

Open from July 15th to September 15th, Monday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00-19:00. The rest of the year it opens only Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00. Global price: 3€. For groups an appointment is needed.

FUNFACTS

San Gil Church is built in Romanic style, with three naves and an excellent coffered ceiling in the central semicircular apse.
