Description
Gachas(porridge) and slaughter are two traditions faithfully linked in Castile-La Mancha. Thus to grass pea flour, the main ingredient, bacon, garlic, paprika, oil and salt are added.
The result is a dish that astonishes due to its punchy flavor, and the exotic touch of the grass pea, a plant that is now only farmed in our regions.
Nowadays we find it at any traditional-cuisine restaurant in Castile- La Mancha, willing to delight the visitor’s palate.
